Connect your WooCommerce shop

Bring your WooCommerce products, prices and stock into Hapro, with a button or by pasting a REST API key.

Updated 24 Oct 2026

You can connect your WooCommerce shop from the WooCommerce card in Settings → Integrations in two ways: with a button, or with a key you make in WooCommerce and paste into Hapro. Either way, Hapro then uses the same products, prices and stock as your shop.

This connection is in beta. We have tested it against simulated WooCommerce stores, not yet against live shops. If anything comes across wrongly, contact us.

Before you start

  • Your shop's web address must start with https://, and the shop must be reachable from the internet.
  • You need to sign in to your WordPress admin with an account that can manage WooCommerce.
  • In Hapro, an owner or administrator connects stores. Each connected store counts towards your plan's connected systems allowance.

Connect with the button

  1. Open Settings → Integrations.
  2. On the WooCommerce card, select Connect.
  3. Enter Your shop’s web address, for example https://www.yourshop.co.uk.
  4. Select Continue to your WooCommerce shop.
  5. WooCommerce asks you to approve Hapro with Read/Write access. Approve it.
  6. You come back to Integrations, and your products start coming across.

Hapro asks for write access only so it can register three webhooks: notices WooCommerce sends when a product is created, changed or deleted. It does not change anything else in your shop.

Connect by hand

Use this if the button does not finish.

  1. In your WordPress admin, open WooCommerce → Settings → Advanced → REST API and select Add key.
  2. Describe it as "Hapro", choose your own user, and set Permissions to Read/Write.
  3. Select Generate API key. WooCommerce shows a consumer key (starting ck_) and a consumer secret (starting cs_). It shows the secret only once.
  4. In Hapro, open Settings → Integrations. On the WooCommerce card, select Connect by hand instead.
  5. Fill in Your shop’s web address, Consumer key and Consumer secret, then select Connect WooCommerce.

Hapro tries the key before it saves anything. If the key does not work, the message says why and nothing is kept. Once saved, the secret is kept encrypted and never shown again.

A key with Read permission also works, but Hapro cannot register its webhooks with it, so changes only arrive with the regular check every 15 minutes.

What comes across

  • Products and variations, with name, description, SKU, price and, where you have filled it in, WooCommerce's GTIN, UPC, EAN or ISBN field as the barcode. If a product is on sale, Hapro uses the sale price.
  • Stock, for products and variations with Manage stock switched on. Out-of-stock products come across as zero. Where Manage stock is off and the product is in stock, WooCommerce holds no number, so Hapro does not invent one.
  • Categories, using each product's first category other than "Uncategorized".

Draft, pending and private products come across but are not offered to customers. Grouped and external (affiliate) products are not brought across, and nor are product images.

WooCommerce has no locations of its own, so all its stock is counted at one of your shops. Hapro picks one when you connect; you can change it. See Choose which locations feed your stock.

Keeping it up to date

  • When a product is created, changed or deleted in WooCommerce, WooCommerce tells Hapro and the change is synced.
  • Hapro also checks your shop every 15 minutes, which is how stock changes from your WooCommerce orders arrive, and runs a full sync every night.
  • To sync without waiting, select Sync now on your shop's card in Settings → Integrations. Select Sync history on the same card to see each sync and what it did.

A product deleted in WooCommerce is archived in Hapro, never deleted.

Products managed by WooCommerce

Products from your shop show Managed by WooCommerce on the Products page. Their details, prices and stock come from WooCommerce, so change them there. A spreadsheet import cannot change them either.

Orders taken in Hapro are not sent to WooCommerce.

Connecting a different shop

Hapro keeps one WooCommerce shop at a time. To switch, select Connect a different WooCommerce store on the card. You are asked to confirm, because the new shop replaces the current one. Products from the old shop stay in Hapro but stop updating from it.

Disconnecting

On your shop's card, select Disconnect, then confirm. Hapro stops syncing, removes its webhooks from your shop and deletes the key it held. Your products stay in Hapro, and their prices and stock become yours to edit by hand.

WooCommerce gives Hapro no way to delete the key itself, so delete it too: in WooCommerce → Settings → Advanced → REST API, find the Hapro key and revoke it.
