Go-live checklist
What to check before real customers start talking to your assistant.
Updated 24 Oct 2026
Before you point customers at Hapro, check nine things: setup is finished, your products and policies are ready, the assistant and messaging are switched on, payments take real money, your team can take handoffs, your sign-in is protected, and you have tried it yourself. Each item below says where to find the setting.
1. The required setup steps are done
Open Settings → Setup and go to Try it and go live. You should see Your shop is set up. If it says a number of required steps are left, it lists them with links.
2. Your products are on sale, with prices and stock
The assistant only offers products that are on sale. Open Products and check that the products you want to sell have the status Active, at least one variant with a price, and stock at your shop. See Add products by hand and Update your stock.
3. Your policies are published
Open Knowledge and check that your opening hours, delivery and returns information is published, not a draft. See Tell your assistant your opening hours and policies.
4. Your assistant is switched on
Open AI agent. In What customers are hearing, the button reads Stop the assistant when it is live. If it reads Publish and start answering, select it to switch the assistant on.
5. Payments take real money
If the setup shows Test mode for payments, orders are marked paid but no card is charged. To take real payments, connect your own Stripe account, select Run a test transaction, then Turn payments on. See Connect Stripe.
6. Messages can be sent
Payment links go to customers by text message or WhatsApp. In Settings → Messaging, check that the status card shows Stop sending messages, which means sending is on. If it shows Start sending messages, select it.
7. Your team can take handoffs
In Settings → Human support, check that handover is on (the button reads Turn handover off). Each person who takes handoffs should set My availability to Available on the Team page. See Set up human support.
8. Your sign-in is protected
Turn on two-factor authentication for the account owner before you take real payments. See Secure your account.
9. You have tried it yourself
Have a few conversations in the test console: ask about a product, order something and ask for a person.
